As we all known, there are various kinds winches. According to the power method, they can be divided to: manual type, electric type, Pneumatic type and hydraulic type. Within short lead time, most manufacturers can provide the standard type with better price. The common characteristic of standard are: single speed, electric brake and cylindrical drum. However, different working conditions need different characteristics for electric winch. With The demand for customized winch increasing, the manufacturer should also be capable of designing and manufacturing as customer’s requirements.
On 7th, September, Yuantai Crane got an inquiry of non-standard customized electric winches from Mr. John in Oman. At firstly, his requirements for the basic technical parameters are: 6 tons lifting capacity and 16 meters rope capacity. Then, he proposed three points for customized demand.
The first point is speed. What he requires is inverter control instead single or dual speed. At the same time, the electric winch should be programmable. The characteristic of inverter control and program is not common for electric winch. With our professional engineer’s hard working, the initial drawing finished, but it is a little different with Mr. John’s need. Finally, by three revisions and continuously communication, the product we designed beyond Mr. John’s expectation.
The second point is the drum, what Mr. john need is tapered instead of regular cylindrical. Almost each electric winch manufacturer can make the tapered type, but what matters is the higher cost. Through the continuous efforts of our engineers and workers, we minimized the cost, which deepen the Mr. John trust for us again.
The third point is about brake. In general, the electric brake is common type. What Mr. John need the electromagnetic clutch brake. With continuous technological innovation, we have rich experience in deploying this type of brake. That means the parts of our electric winches have much longer service life. After seeing our design drawing of brake connected motor. Mr. John was quite satisfied and said this was what he was keeping looking for.
