3. When the vehicles of gantry cranes are in normal operation, they cannot be braked and stopped. When changing the movement direction of the vehicles, the handle must be at the “zero” position and the mechanism should be completely stopped before driving in the opposite direction.
4. When the gantry crane suddenly loses power, it is necessary to return all the control handles of the crane to the “zero” position in time, and check whether the gantry crane could be operated normally before restarting.
5. For gantry cranes with two hooks, if the main and auxiliary hooks are switched and the height of the two hooks is close, the main and auxiliary hooks must be operated separately to avoid collisions.
6. When lifting heavy objects, the weight should be lowered 0.5 meters above the ground to check the performance of the gantry crane brake, and then perform normal operations after confirming the reliability.

The third point is about brake. In general, the electric brake is common type. What Mr. John need the electromagnetic clutch brake.
