Introduction to European Electric Hoist

European electric hoists are electric lifting machinery that adopts European technology and standards. European electric hoists can be divided into two types: chain type and wire rope type. According to different types, their lifting parameters, working levels, and use environments are also different.

The structure of European electric hoists mainly consists of motors, transmission mechanisms, drums or sprockets. According to the relative position of the motor and the drum or sprocket, they can be divided into four types:

• Electric hoists with a motor axis perpendicular to the drum or sprocket axis adopt worm gear transmission, which is bulky inefficient and rarely used.
• Electric hoists with a motor axis parallel to the drum or sprocket axis adopt a helical gear transmission device, which has a compact structure, large width and large turning radius.
• Electric hoists with a motor installed inside a drum or sprocket adopt planetary gear transmission device, which has a simple structure and small length, but poor heat dissipation conditions and inconvenient maintenance.
• The electric hoist with the motor installed outside the drum or sprocket adopts a cylindrical gear transmission device, which has a reasonable structure, strong versatility and easy maintenance.
