Last month DQCRANES secured a contract to supply 5ton jib cranes along with electric chain hoists to a Philippines customer working in the logistic sector in Philippines. This floor jib crane is used for pulling out & mobilization of compressors/machines under repair.

Design & Build

The customer application was outdoors and therefor the crane was hot dip galvanized to provide longevity when installed outdoors whilst the hoists were supplied with weather protection jackets and IP65 pendant controls to avoid water ingress.

With a 5-ton capacity, a height of 5.5m and an arm length of 5m, there is not much close by that these cranes would not reach.

Testing

Prior to finishing the cranes were erected and load tested to ensure absolute quality assurance and true peace-of-mind for our customer.

Finishing

A custom powder-coating was used to finish the cranes on top of the already galvanised protection for outdoor installation. Adding paint on top of the galvanising added an additional layer of protection and gave the opportunity to add an aesthetically pleasing finish.

• The customer submitted our explosion-proof hoist solution to the technical department.
• The customer received feedback from the technical department, requesting that the lifting weight be changed to 1 ton and asked us to update the quotation.
• After we updated the quotation, the customer modified the voltage to 440V 60Hz 3 Phase and determined that the lifting capacity of 2 tons can meet their work needs, so we re-updated the electric hoist quotation.
